Supplications to the Lord

Today was a day filled with supplications to the Lord. The team first started off leading worship for the Horizon Denver youth, followed by a teaching for the high school students.

James 5:16 b The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

The band starting off in prayer.

This is Anthony, an HSE 1 student on the road team. His role on this trip is Evangelist, which involves exhorting and lifting up the team. His spiritual gifts are the gifts of Faith, Giving, and Discernment. On the trip God has been humbling him, teaching him that there is much more to learn and that its not worth arguing even if he knows he's right. He has also been learning how to fully understand God's love. Anthony is a huge blessing to the group -- he constantly shows God's love to people with his BIG Colgate smile and HUGE teddy bear hugs. He would also like to say, "Hi mom!"

Ryan sharing the vision of HSE.

Aaron giving his testimony.

Mike MacIntosh's granddaughter digging into the Word. Capi bringing the gospel to the youth. We had the priviledge of going out evangelizing with him one of the nights of the Parade of Lights. He is a very blessed pastor with a wonderful family.

"Let's make some baby sheep! Y'know what I'm sayin" -- his famous quote

The group praying for Capi's mom. Unfortunately, she is very ill and had to go to the emergency room. Please keep him and his family in prayer.

After morning service, the roadies ate out for Randee and Marshal's birthdays. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Later in the afternoon, we were blessed with being able to conduct a bible study at a drug rehab center. Marshal got up to share his powerful testimony of how God healed bring from a life of drug abuse. His testimony opened the door to 4-5 people at the center getting up to share their stories with the group. It was a blessing to see how they opened their hearts so much even though they didn't even know us.

God was moving so strongly throughout the center that night. Seeds were planted and many unbelievers were touched by the group's precense and asked us to come back this upcoming weekend.

The roadie's precense was also an answer to a prayer. One Samoan lady, name Ena, prayed a week earlier that God would send more people from outside the center to visit, and her prayer was answered. She also prayed that he would send someone who spoke Samoan, and amazingly enough, she was blown away when Marshal spoke to her in her native tongue. God works in wondrous ways!

Later that night Wes and Marshal decided to take their relationship with the Lord to another level by making a commitment to stop smoking. The group laid hands on them and prayed fervently for Lord to empower them.

Big hugs of love and encouragement!

PLEASE KEEP WES + MARSHAL IN YOUR PRAYERS!

They've now gone 24 hours without smoking!!!
